| Good morning! US stock futures diverged on Thursday as Alphabet’s Q3 earnings triggered a sell-off, reviving concerns over AI valuations and weighing on technology stocks. Dow futures rose 0.54%, while S&P 500 futures fell 0.30% and Nasdaq-100 futures dropped 1.13%. The tech sector’s positive momentum weakened as investors assessed the Federal Reserve’s decision to pause interest rates and earnings from Microsoft and Alphabet. AI-related losses also spread to Asian markets, with South Korea’s Kospi declining and semiconductor stocks, including Nvidia, AMD and Micron, falling after hours. Markets now await core PCE inflation data, forecast at 3.1%. | |
