U.S. stock futures moved higher Friday morning as investors adjusted to the Federal Reserve’s 25-basis-point rate hike and continued to assess concerns surrounding artificial intelligence.
Dow futures rose 0.08%, while S&P 500 futures gained 0.16% and Nasdaq-100 futures advanced 0.35%. The gains followed Thursday’s rebound, supported by technology stocks, lower oil prices, and declining bond yields. However, JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon cautioned that inflation may remain stubborn despite the Fed’s move.
Oil prices eased toward $100 as Middle East tensions continued to pressure global markets. Meanwhile, chip stocks largely recovered from earlier losses linked to calls for slower AI development.
